Located in the beautiful South Island of Aotearoa New Zealand
Our apiaries are located throughout the amazing countryside of the Buller River district in the upper South Island of New Zealand. The Buller River is one of New Zealand’s largest rivers and flows from the mountains of the Nelson Lakes National Park, gathering the waters of clean mountain fed streams as it flows down to the West Coast and Tasman Sea.
Our bees are happy amongst the flowering pastural farmland valleys surrounded by hillsides clad with native bush and beech forests. Together, this diversity of pastural and bush floral varieties provide our bees with the abundance of pollen and nectar sources from which they make their most exquisite of honeys.
We believe that producing pure natural honey totally depends on our beehives living in a healthy environment such as this.
Our Honey
Our core focus is on our beekeeping. We specialise in producing pure bulk honey that we offer for supply, in the drum, especially to the commercial New Zealand honey packer market.
We produce some distinctive varieties of honey that are particular to our region. To separate these different flavours of honey, our skilful beekeepers take great care managing our beehives with honey harvesting determined by the timings of each dominant nectar flow.
Our Philosophy
As beekeepers, we understand that to be sustainable we have to continually adapt to change of whatever form. Accordingly, we look after our bees with an acute awareness of all environmental aspects that may affect the safe habitat of our bees.
In caring for the bees, we believe its best keeping things as natural as possible and are always striving to be a more sustainable business with the least impact on the environment as possible.
